March & April news

Hi everyone

A belated Happy Easter to all of you! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend with family and friends, and for those in ministry - I hope you’ve managed to recover from a busy weekend! It has been a while since my last update but I’m excited to share a few highlights with you.

Build conference

The last week of March our Every Nation churches in Europe gathered in Prague, Czech Republic, for our Build Conference. Such a beautiful city! And also encouraging to see the work the team is doing on the ground (Every Nation has recently planted a church here). This conference is always such a faith-boost for me, hearing what God is doing all over Europe and being able to worship and pray together, as well as receive input and encouragement from our Apostolic leaders all over the world. Very grateful to be a part of this spiritual family.

So cool to spend time with Kobie at the Build Conference! Kobie was on our worship team in Potchefstroom, South Africa many years ago and now, along with her husband Jacques, is helping pastor our Every Nation church in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

Elder ordination

At the beginning of April I was set in as an elder in our church, which was a hugely significant moment for me personally, but also for our church as it is the first time we have done this. Matt and Christy have been the only elders of our church since they planted it in 2014, so it is a massive privilege to join them in leadership and help carry the weight of the ministry with them (officially, haha).

Sofia update

Thank you so much to those who have been praying for Sofia. Her cancer treatment has been going well but she recently spent a rather scary week in hospital because of an infection she picked up that was extremely aggressive. She is doing much better and is home now recovering until her last round of chemo. Please pray with us for no infection, organ damage or nausea and that her immune system will recover quickly.

Discipleship training

A few weeks back we held a discipleship training day which we are trusting will be pivotal in the growth of the church. It was a foundational and practical training of how to make disciples and we now have a core group of people committed to walking with new believers, making sure healthy biblical foundations are being established.

Aside from my usual discipleship and pastoral meetings, we started a Preparing for Freedom journey with 22 people who have signed up for our Freedom Day at the end of May. I meet with this group once a week for the 5 weeks leading up to this day, so please pray with me for each of these amazing people who have signed up, trusting God for more of His freedom in their lives.

Prayer request

We need a new venue. We have simply outgrown our current venue, and our lease runs out in July. We have been looking for a while now, but unfortunately the process is complicated for buying and renting space as a church in France. Please pray with us for favour and that we can find a space that is bigger than the one we are currently in. We are eventually trusting God to buy our own building, but in the meantime we would like to find something to rent for the next year or 2.

Preaching

I have been preaching a bit more regularly than I used to - if anyone understands French I have updated some of the more recent messages on my website - you can have a listen here:

Thank You

Thank you SO much for your continued partnership, both financial and in prayer, which makes it possible for me to do what I do. God is moving in Europe and it is such a privilege to be a part of it.

Blessings and lots of love,

Fiona
